Anton Steel Writer/ DirectorAnton Steel has been involved in the Feature Film industry as a Director, Assistant Director and producer for over 16 years. His directing experience includes TV Commercials, Short Films, Feature Films, Documentaries and magazine style TV shows.
On set he has had a pivotal role to play in everything from $300 million blockbusters to low budget music videos and work as an Assistant Director on 20+ Feature and Tele-feature Films has given him the invaluable opportunity to learn the craft of directing from some of the most talented and successful directors in the world. Anton has been fortunate to employ his creativity on some wonderful projects. His most recent piece Living Life Well is an award winning mini doco about how non-profit trust Pou Whakaaro is giving a hand up to people living with disablities, through mentoring them in micro business.
His other projects include directing the safe@home campaign for Shine (a non for profit organisation combating domestic violence), the Green Parties 2011 Election TVC campaign, the award winning short film isosceles, and working as producer/2nd Unit Director on the critically acclaimed feature film Insatiable Moon (4/5 stars, NZ Herald & Empire Magazine). |
Kylie DellaBarca Steel ProducerAs the leader and founder of the not-for-profit Fruit of the Pacific, for the past 5 years Kylie DellaBarca Steel has worked with short-term migrants traveling from the Pacific into New Zealand’s horticultural industries. The Trust is focused on community development and has established many successful programmes including a government funded full-day workshop on Asset Based Community Development and an Oral Health Awareness team with nationwide reach in Vanuatu. it is Kylie’s vision to create thriving communities that are using their skills and resources for their own development.

She spent some time in the film industry, in a variety of production roles on Bridge To Terabithia, No. 2, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and Assistant Directing for award winning NZ Director Vincent Ward in his feature Rain of the Children shot in the Ureweras, Kylie excels in strategic planning and implementation with a focus on good communication, community and creativity. |
